Getting Here

When arriving in the Presidio of Monterey area by air, the nearest major airport is the Monterey Peninsula Airport and is located about 2 miles from the post. Limos and taxi services are available from the airport. If arriving by car, travel on Highway 101 to Salinas. Follow the Highway 68 signs to Monterey Peninsula/Highway 1. Then continue to the exit for Pacific Grove City/17-Mile Drive turnoff. Turn right and follow Highway 68 and turn right again on Prescott Avenue. Turn right on Taylor Street toward the Presidio. If soldiers are in need of temporary lodging, lodging is available at the Presidio of Monterey and at the Naval Postgraduate School.
